There are objects, used in everyday life<\/strong>, that have become iconic and that still make an Italian\u2019s heart beat<\/strong> fast and, we are sure, still produce wonder<\/strong> and admiration<\/strong> in those who are not Italian.<\/p>\n

Lamps<\/strong>, chairs<\/strong>, armchairs<\/strong> and beds<\/strong>,\u00a0hats<\/strong>, dresses<\/strong>, shoes<\/strong>,\u00a0typewriters<\/strong> and pens<\/strong>,\u00a0coffee pots<\/strong> and pans<\/strong>, cars<\/strong>, scooters<\/strong> and motorboats<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

The list is long and full of surprises, because how could you classify the color “Valentino Red<\/strong>“?
\nYou can\u2019t, but you can recognize<\/strong> it with your eyes closed.<\/p>\n

And wearing a Borsalino<\/strong> (1857 – Giuseppe Borsalino) makes you shine with elegance<\/strong> on any occasion, try and see!<\/p>\n

Castiglioni<\/strong>, Munari<\/strong>, Ponti<\/strong>, Mari<\/strong>, Pesce<\/strong>, Aulenti<\/strong>, Sottsass<\/strong>, de Lucchi<\/strong>, Gregotti<\/strong> and many other Italian designers<\/strong> have left an indelible mark on our memory with pride we keep alive the affection for these objects that have contributed to make us precious in the eyes of the world.<\/p>\n<\/div> <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n

Sit down for a chat, you can choose between the stool Mezzadro<\/strong> (1957 – Pier Giacomo and Achille Castiglioni) and the Superleggera<\/strong> (1955 – Gio Ponti), or throw yourself on the Sacco<\/strong> (1968 – Gatti, Paolini and Teodoro): whatever your choice will be very comfortable.<\/p>\n

When there\u2019s no light, we can help each other with a nice lamp, right? Should we light the Arco<\/strong> (1962 – Castiglioni) or the Nesso<\/strong> (1965 – Giancarlo Mattioli)?
\nAnd if you want to write you could be tempted by an Olivetti Lettera 22<\/strong> (1950 – Marcello Nizzoli) the portable typewriter become legend, or if you choose handwriting you could use a Tratto Clip<\/strong> (1975 – Design Group Italia)It looks like a marker, but it\u2019s not!<\/p>\n

If you get hungry we make a nice pasta with a Tummy<\/strong> (1979 – Ennio Lucini) and for coffee we can only use a Moka Bialetti<\/strong> (1933 – Alfonso Bialetti), absolutely the most widespread in Italian homes, that has revolutionized the habits of our grandparents in the consumption of espresso that before you could only get at the bar.<\/p>\n<\/div> <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n \n\n\n\n\n \n

The characteristic of Italian design<\/strong> lies in the details<\/strong>, certainly if in a house<\/strong> you find at least one of these you know that the owners have sophisticated taste: the marble graniglia flooring<\/strong> (terrazzo alla veneziana, because it was typical of the houses in Venice), the bathroom decorated with tiles<\/strong>, mosaics<\/strong> and wallpaper<\/strong>, the combination of contemporary design elements to original finishes in historic buildings<\/strong>, gardens<\/strong> or terraces<\/strong> or balconies<\/strong> furnished in continuity with the interior spaces, the rustic touch<\/strong> obtained thanks to the use of natural materials<\/strong> (typical of Tuscan villas<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n \n\n\n\n\n \n
